  • Couples or solo travellers looking to enjoy the scenic crossing between Salcombe and South Sands.

  • Dogs are very welcome (and go free) as part of the family.

What you can bring

  • Pushchairs / prams: yes, you can board with your stroller/pram.

  • Beach gear: towels, buckets, spades, sun-creams, and general luggage for a trip to the beach or day out.

  • Mobility aids: walkers, canes, etc – please let the crew know if you need assistance.

  • Dogs: as above, well-behaved dogs are welcome aboard at no additional cost.

 Young & old

  • Families with young children: our service is designed to be family-friendly.

  • Older passengers: we’ll assist with boarding and disembarking whenever possible. As one guest commented:

“We got my 87-yr old Pa onto the ferry … the wonderful chaps on the ferry were simply amazing” Tripadvisor

  • Anyone who enjoys a short scenic boat ride across the estuary.

 Practical notes

  • Boarding is on a first-come basis up to the 30-person capacity per journey; please arrive a little before departure if you have pushchairs or extra gear.

  • For large groups, special items, or if you require extra assistance, please contact us in advance so we can help make arrangements.

  • Dogs must be supervised at all times; please keep them on a lead while boarding and disembarking.

  • Beach gear is welcomed but please keep aisles clear and ensure anything you bring is secure for the journey across the water.

  • If you’re travelling with a pushchair/pram, it’s helpful if it’s folded or secured when boarding if the ferry is busy.
